“Live event painting” is a unique way to capture all aspects of your special event.

Celebration artist Jessica Weiss-Marder comes to your wedding, bar/bat-mitzvah, or fundraiser and creates a painting on site. She arrives with a blank canvas, and paints the party room and decorations in detail before your guests arrive. As the party unfolds, the painting comes to life. While you and your guests dance and create memories Jessica is capturing them in the painting. At the end of your party the painting is displayed for the guests to see, and is now an amazing heirloom you will always cherish.

Q: What is so special about live event painting?
A: A painting done on location evolves on the canvas just as the event unfolds around us. Jessica is able to capture the atmosphere and essence of your event. When you commission Jessica to paint your special occasion, you are adding a unique form of entertainment to your event. Guests watch the evolution of the painting with great interest and enthusiasm.

Q: Which events lend themselves to live paintings?
A: Weddings, receptions, Sweet 16s, communions, family reunions, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, rehearsal dinners, fund-raisers—any celebratory gathering can be captured and transformed into a work of art.

Q: Where does the artist work? Is it in the way?
A: Many guests will not realize The artist is even there. Many party goers are shocked to see what was created right in front of them with them never noticing. I set up with a French impressionistic easel in a corner and only take up 5’ by 6’ area.

Q: What is the Cost?

Q: How far in advance should I contact you to paint my celebration?
A: The Sooner the better. I can only be at one party at a time, so contact me and confirm availability as far in advance as possible.

Q: My party already passed, but I’d love a painting of it
A: Contact Jessica and you can have a “reflective event painting” created. All you need is to supply some photos of the party in full swing, and some pictures of the venue room and any details you’d like in the painting
(ex-cake, centerpiece )
